Welcome to Simply Jesus Ministries.
My name is Tobi and about 3 months ago I heard a verse that I had heard many times throughout my life as a believer, but this time it was explained in a way that God used to radically change how I walk with Him. The verse is Psalm 37:4 which says "Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart." I was encouraged by the leader of my small group to really delight myself in the Lord, to trust Him with my hearts desires and dreams. (see devotion on Psalm 37:4 here)
So as I started to think about it and find ways to delight in Jesus and I had this idea to start a website and create a community for women to 'Simply' delight in 'Jesus'. ( I will be honest here and say that at first I thought the idea was crazy, since I have no idea how to build a website!! I had one of those .. Lord, you must be kidding??! or that was some loony idea that came from me and not God moments..) But since the idea would NOT go away, I started to pray that God would show me if it was really Him.
Then all of a sudden I was surrounded by women that needed encouragement and for some reason kept coming to me. Then it became clear to me that there is something special about the relationship and bond between sisters in Christ and I became even more intrigued with the idea of a website that fosters that bond ... funny how God works if we just ask and then pay attention.
So that is how Simply Jesus Ministries came to be and now I am living the verse that says 'God uses the foolish things ( that would be me when it comes to building a website...) to confound the wise.. I Corinthians 1:27 Thankfully I am blessed with some more technically minded people that have offered to help and a great website editor, but I truly have to say to God be all the glory!
