I was listening to Ann Voskamp's keynote talk from a christian bloggers conference called Allume and she was talking about the difference between a calling and a career.
A calling is all about relationship, a career is about a road or a highway that has well marked roads with a specific plan. It is about the guidebook. But a calling is about the Guide, a calling is something we never stop listening for which means we have to lean into Jesus on a regular basis.
We have to live moment by moment in relationship with Jesus.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. -Matthew 6
Let's remember to keep our relationship with God the first priority.

So whatever you believe that God has called you too, let it be an outpouring of your relationship with Him not something you feel you have to do to please Him.
