In contrast the disciples went away to spend time with Jesus, and this is something we need need to remember... because the only way we can survive this world is to make time to sit with Jesus, to spend time with Him.
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”
"...knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:3-4
We can rest assured that no matter how bad our situation or circumstances seem, Jesus Himself knows what He is going to do, we just have to trust Him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Secondly, we see that Jesus didn’t sit down and explain every step of His plan to His disciples. He gave the instructions to them one step at a time, and only after they stepped out in faith did He tell them what to do next. He was testing and teaching them to trust Him.
When we trust Him and obey we are a witness for Him and others will see the truth…
We have to trust Jesus enough to take a step of faith trusting that He knows best, and not only does He know best, but He is with us every step of the way, even in the midst of the storms in our life.
