When we worship God we are acknowledging who He is , that He is all knowing, good, and trustworthy. We are loving Him back.. "We love Him because He first loved us."
It is a way of life, we worship Him with our actions, our words, our life.
So what happens when your worship and trust in God looks a lot like trusting other people?
When I became a part of the leadership in my church I quickly learned that I am a complete and utter control freak, which then led me to try and do everything myself instead of calling on and trusting other people to be faithful and dependable.
I mean, hello.. what if they didn't do what needed to be done, or did it different then I would have? Gasp!
Being a leader is like walking a tight rope, it is this crazy balance of pushing people to do what needs to be done, and trusting that people will do the right thing, and in the process use all of their wonderful gifts to do wonderful things for Jesus.
(Just as a side note, I am so blessed that I get to do life and ministry with some wonderfully gifted people.)
Yesterday, I was at lunch with a friend and we were discussing how being in charge of something whether it be in ministry or any other part of your life is really about letting go and letting God be in control.
Have a blessed day,
