1. a group of persons of common ancestry.
2. a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation.
I am blessed to have a family that for the most part fit into those categories, but even in a happy family that is always there and usually is a safe place frustration, anger and arguing can occur,(I think God uses it to remove some of our rough edges), but forgiveness and unconditional love prevail.
"Friends are the family I choose for myself."
The second definition is a great reminder for us to get involved at church where you can be part of a spiritual family of people who are united by certain convictions or a common affiliation, a family that will last not only while we are here on this earth, but for all eternity.
Maybe you have a family member that you have lost contact with because life got busy, or a silly argument caused feelings to be hurt, but now you feel like God is encouraging you to reach out to them, if for no other reason than to share what God has been doing in your life and be a witness for Him.Be encouraged you are not alone in this, I am right here with you so let's pray for the strength we need to make the first move in restoring a relationship, whether it be through a phone call, text message or even a card in the mail... join me as I grab hold of my #fiveminutesofbrave.
Together we are better,
