Here is a little (ok, it might actually be a lot) info from their blog...
We are the Wright family; Jason, Emma, Cassia and Micah.
Jason is a Husband, Daddy, and Pastor, Emma is a Wife and Mum, Cassia is a livewire (almost 3), and Micah is a bubbly baby boy (5 months).
Yes, that is a lot of moving, and we never thought we would have lived in so many places (this will be our 6th house in 8 years of marriage), but obviously this is what God has for us, as we would not have chosen it for ourselves!
Jason will be assisting Pastor Andrew Russell at Calvary Chapel Melbourne. He will be responsible for anything Andrew can think of but primarily Youth Ministry.
Victoria, Australia. Home of the Rod Laver tennis arena (Australian Open), and Australian Rules Football.More specifically Berwick (pronounced Bear-ik), about 30 miles from downtown Melbourne (the capital city of Victoria and 2nd largest city in Australia).
We feel called by God as a family to serve alongside the Russell Family at Calvary Chapel Melbourne. The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few and we are very excited and honored to be able to see God do great things in and through us!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?!
We feel it is important for you to know that the church in Australia is very different to the church in America. It can be hard to picture the church in other countries when you come from the US. The body of Bible believing Christians in Australia is small… most Australian’s do not attend church, and many of those who do are not taught the Word (sad right?). This is one of the primary reasons we feel called back to Australia. There is so much opportunity!
As such there are very few paid pastors in Bible teaching churches in Australia. Jason will be compensated, but only as the church can afford, and as such Jason, and possibly Emma will be working outside of Calvary Chapel Melbourne. One way you can free our family up for ministry is financially. We know this is a lot to ask, and feel a little uncomfortable doing so, but don’t want you to be under the impression that we would not appreciate your support (prayer as well as financial).
Any one-time donations will be used to provide for our move and living expenses. Any ongoing/monthly donations will be used to offset the number of hours we would need to work outside of the church.
If you would like to support us in prayer you can subscribe to our email list to be notified when we post a new blog which will contain photos, updates and prayer requests.
If you would like to support us financially you can make tax deductible donations through Go!Ministries. (Account No.1191)
